Annual Awards & Installation Banquet
The Cottage Grove Annual Awards & Installation Banquet is a Chamber sponsored event to honor/recognize leaders, students, and volunteers in our community for their volunteer community service, academic excellence, extracurricular activity involvement, outstanding dedication, leadership and outstanding achievement in good business practices. Our hats are off to you for all you do to help Cottage Grove be THE place to live and do business. Nominations for First Citizen are open to the public and can be made any time of the year. The banquet is held annually the third Saturday in January. In addition to an evening of great food and fun times with friends, the Chamber Banquet is a time to recognize those in our community who truly stand out through volunteerism and excellent business practices. It is also an opportunity to recognize student excellence and other honors.
We are delighted to announce the names of the people and businesses who were honored at our Annual Awards and Installation Banquet. We especially want to express a special thank you to our membership for participating in the process by casting your votes which determined the winners of Non-Profit of the Year, First Citizen, and Business of the Year. Please help us recognize and congratulate all of the winners and nominees for their contributions to Cottage Grove. The recipient of this award will have participated actively in a variety of service projects and programs leading to civic improvement, human welfare, and/or environmental enhancement. Service or contributions have been performed outside of the nominee's business, profession or vocation The nominee also must have a positive impact on the social or economic climate of the community, and influence the community through his or her leadership.

This award is given to a Cottage Grove business for outstanding achievement in good business practices and involvement in our community.
Community Impact – Len Blackstone
The Impact award is given in honor of a person or organization that has made a lasting positive impact on the community in the last year.
P.A.C.E – Joe Raade
President's Award for Community Excellence
This award is chosen by the Chamber Board President at times when they feel additional special recognition is warranted. It conveys gratitude for years, decades, and sometimes even a lifetime of service and dedication to the betterment of the community.
Distinguished Service – Ken Schweiger & Alice Nowicki
This award is chosen by the local service clubs and given in recognition for significant community contribution through outstanding dedication and volunteer service to Cottage Grove.
Business After Hours
BUSINESS AFTER HOURS is one of our monthly Chamber member networking events and offers you an excellent opportunity to meet new clients and showcase your business to the Cottage Grove business community. Business after Hours is held the third Thursday each month all year long from 5:30-7:00pm and various member businesses.

The Chamber News, our monthly newsletter, focuses on our members, chamber activities, and community events. Through our partnership with the Cottage Grove Sentinel, a Platinum Plus Member, the Chamber News is published in our local newspaper the first Wednesday of each month and is distributed to over 4,000 residents in Cottage Grove. We invite you to view our newsletter(s) and learn more about our members, what's happening in our community, the impact of our work in economic development, and the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.
Concerts in the Park
We offer a variety of music featuring local bands providing entertainment for people of all ages. The concerts are held at Bohemia Park, 101 N. 10th Street in Cottage Grove on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:00pm the last week of June thru the last week of August and are made possible with financial support through sponsorships from local chamber member businesses. Bring your picnic dinner or purchase cuisine from one of the food booths. There will also be a variety of vendors selling their products. So bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and friends to this free, fun-filled atmosphere that is THE place to be in Cottage Grove on Wednesday nights! You’ll be glad you did! These concerts are made possible with financial support through sponsorships. 2020 Season Line-Up
Market at Concerts in the Park
The market takes place in conjunction with the Concerts in the Park beginning the last Wednesday of June continuing every Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm through the last Wednesday in August at Bohemia Park.
- Food Vendors pay a fee of $20.00 each week or $15/week if paid in full at the beginning of the season.
- Non-Food Vendors (art, crafts, info displays, etc.) pay a fee of $10 each week or $5.00/week if paid in full at the beginning of the season.
- All Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce members can participate for FREE
Christmas in Cottage Grove
Christmas in Cottage Grove, our tree lighting and Christmas celebration is held the first Saturday in December. Bundle up and join us for some family fun! Start the day off and have Breakfast with Santa at the Fire Station, help us greet Santa as he lights the community Christmas tree (located at the All America City Square on the corner of 7th & Main), participate in a Scavenger Hunt, have your picture taken with Santa at City Hall, take advantage of various merchant discounts, enjoy caroling on a hayride, join the block party for some soup and hot beverages, cozy up by the fire, tour Dr. Snapp’s House on River Road and find that special gift for someone on your shopping list at their annual bazaar.
